Founded in Ankara in 2024, Altaytek stands at the forefront of advanced materials engineering, emerging as one of the most visionary and technologically capable companies in the global metal-foam industry. From its inception, Altaytek was built on a single defining ambition: to challenge the limits of modern materials and introduce engineered solutions that redefine safety, performance, and efficiency across the world’s most demanding sectors.
Driven by scientific rigor and an unwavering commitment to innovation, Altaytek specializes in the development and high-volume production of Stabilized Aluminium Foam (SAF) and Composite Metal Foam (CMF) technologies. With proprietary patents, exclusive global licenses, and a manufacturing capability aligned with international aerospace- and defense-grade standards, Altaytek is uniquely positioned to deliver metal-foam materials at a scale and consistency unmatched in the region and competitive with the largest producers worldwide.
Altaytek’s mission is to industrialize Composite Metal Foam (CMF) technology at high-volume manufacturing capacity, enabling its integration into next-generation systems that demand superior resistance to blast, ballistic threats, impact, fire, radiation, vibration, and acoustic energy. By delivering advanced engineered materials with consistent, repeatable performance, Altaytek empowers global OEMs and defense, aerospace, mobility, and infrastructure manufacturers to push the limits of product innovation and safety.
Our vision is to redefine the material science landscape by supplying engineered metal-foam solutions that significantly enhance structural safety, operational efficiency, and energy conservation. Built upon the scientific breakthrough of Composite Metal Foam, Altaytek is committed to developing materials that support the world’s transition toward lighter, stronger, and more resilient engineering systems.
What Is Metal Foam?
Metal foam is a lightweight metallic structure characterized by a three-dimensional network of pores distributed within a solid metal matrix. This cellular architecture dramatically reduces weight while preserving a meaningful level of strength and stiffness, making metal foams highly suitable for crash protection, energy absorption and lightweight structural components. In many engineering scenarios, metal foam behaves differently from solid metal, offering a more gradual and controlled response under load, which is especially valuable in safety-critical systems.
Altaytek’s technological foundation is rooted in a highly controlled and scientifically optimized foaming process. Alloyed aluminium is enriched with precisely engineered ceramic or stabilizing particles, forming a robust matrix. This molten mixture is then injected with gas under tightly controlled conditions, generating a uniform microcellular structure with stable, predictable performance characteristics.
This combination of structural integrity, tunable engineering properties, and low environmental footprint positions Altaytek as one of the most advanced players in the emerging global metal-foam ecosystem.
Altaytek’s technology platform supports both open-cell and closed-cell foam architectures, each optimized for different classes of applications. Closed-cell foams feature more continuous cell walls and higher intrinsic strength, making them well suited for structural, crash and ballistic applications where load-bearing capacity and impact resistance are critical. Open-cell foams, by contrast, offer interconnected porosity and are advantageous in applications involving filtration, flow control, acoustic absorption and certain types of thermal management. By tailoring the cell morphology and density, Altaytek can align foam architecture with the specific performance requirements of each project.
From Scientific Innovation to Industrial Capability
Unlike many technologies that remain trapped at laboratory scale, Altaytek’s materials are engineered for real-world, industrial mass production. Our manufacturing ecosystem supports:
Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance
Altaytek’s manufacturing and validation processes are designed to meet defense-grade quality expectations and aerospace-level repeatability. Our materials are tested and characterized in accordance with relevant ISO and ASTM standards for metallic foams, structural materials and energy-absorbing components. Each production batch is fully traceable from raw material intake through final inspection, giving OEMs and authorities confidence in documentation, origin and performance history. By combining strict process control with structured test programs, Altaytek ensures that every delivered product aligns with the demanding safety, reliability and consistency requirements of modern engineering systems.
Predictable Performance by Design
Beyond developing advanced materials, Altaytek focuses on ensuring that foam behavior remains predictable and uniform at the component level. By characterizing the stress–strain response of our foams and verifying that the elastic, plateau and densification stages follow a consistent trend across the material, we provide designers with confidence in how our products will perform under real loading conditions. Multi-point mechanical testing and application-focused evaluations help confirm that local variations in cellular structure do not compromise the overall energy absorption and protective function of the foam in demanding use cases.
